I am truly honored — in the deepest, most humbling way — to be published in Summerana Magazine! To even see my work grace the pages of a publication I’ve admired for so long feels surreal, like a dream I whispered to God in the quiet moments finally stepping into the light. This wasn’t an overnight thing. This was a goal I carried close to my heart for quite some time. There were days when I posted my images with a hopeful heart, not really expecting anything, just praying that maybe… maybe someone would see the beauty I see. And look at what came of it. This moment right here is proof that the seeds you plant — even the small ones you think no one notices — can bloom in the most unexpected ways.

Let this be a reminder: you can do absolutely anything you put your mind to. Don’t let doubt talk you out of your dreams. Keep trying. Keep posting. Keep showing up for whatever it is you love. Someone is watching. Someone is inspired. And your moment will come. You just have to remember that every single day.

Standing alongside so many incredibly talented photographers in this issue is not just an accomplishment — it’s a privilege, an honor, and a blessing I’m beyond grateful for. My heart is full!

Thank you so much, Summerana, for believing in my work and giving me this milestone moment. I hope this is only the beginning of many more publications to come. 💗📸✨

Hello

Hi, I’m Ashalea Joann!

Owner, memory catcher, giggle chaser, and proud chaos-embracer behind Indulgent Invisions Photography.

Photography isn’t just what I do—it’s part of who I am. With over 16 years of experience, I’ve been blessed to photograph countless families, energetic kiddos, proud seniors, and beloved pets. Whether it's sticky fingers, missing socks, or spontaneous twirls in the fall leaves, I've seen it all—and I love every second of it.

What started as a passion quickly turned into my purpose. I believe that every stage of life deserves to be remembered, not just the picture-perfect ones. From the toddler meltdown in the middle of the park to the sweet smirk your teenager gives when they think no one’s looking—that’s where the magic is. And that’s exactly what I capture.

As a mother, I get it. I’ve been on both sides of the camera—wrangling littles while begging them to just smile once, bribing with snacks, and holding out hope that at least one good photo turns out. That’s why I’ve created a photography experience that’s real, relaxed, and full of play.

You won’t find stiff poses or overly formal setups here. I work with guided prompts that encourage laughter, movement, and connection. We dance, we twirl, we tickle, and sometimes we race to the nearest tree—because those are the moments that make your photos truly yours. And let’s be honest... who wants to sit and smile for 30 minutes straight anyway? Not your toddler. Not your husband. And definitely not me.

At Indulgent Invisions Photography, I focus on creating a session that feels like time well spent, not time endured. You’ll walk away with beautiful, professionally edited images that tell the story of your family—just as you are: perfectly imperfect, joyfully wild, and filled with love.

So whether you’re celebrating a milestone, updating your family portraits, wrangling kids and dogs for holiday cards, or simply want to freeze this season of life before it changes again—I’m here for it all.

Let’s laugh, play, and make some magic.

Because life moves fast... but your memories don’t have to.
